Not Just A Rug, Carpets are also art pieces that have to be loved and handled with care. Lotto Carpets Gallery helps you cherish this luxury item. By Our Staff Reporter

Lotto Carpets Gallery is a family business that has been under the care of the Mir family for more than 150 years now. Their mission has been to reintroduce the carpet as a work of art rather than just a static floor covering.

As an art, carpets have many aspects that can lead to a greater understanding, appreciation and ultimately love for the piece. The history of carpets is thousands of years old with the oldest carpet in the world, “The Pazryk” has been dated back to 500BC. Being one of the oldest art forms to exist, the carpet represents many different cultures, religions, traditions and people in every major part of the world.

Carpets have been made as far away as China, Russia, Turkey, India and Persia not to mention numerous tribes and villages that are no longer in existence today. The love for these wonderful creations comes from a greater appreciation of the carpets texture, knot density, colours as well as their patterns. Lotto Carpets Gallery provides in-depth and detailed information about all its carpets, thus helping clients understand and appreciate their purchases. As a result, they keep coming back for more!
